Sorbet for sweet princess girl
Pattern: Sorbet Minnowknits
Yarn: Manos cotton stria
Here is a wee sweater I knit for my girlfriend's daughter. Her birthday was 2 weeks ago and I almost had it done except for the finishing. The pink ties look sweet all done up. She is such a cutie, I'll have to see if I can get a pic of her with it on.
She was here last week for an evening and her and I had lots of fun in the garden picking flowers and eating lollipop tomatoes from the vine.
I'm waiting for an answer from my principal at the moment as to whether or not my knitting group proposal is going to fly. I asked today and he said he hasn't had a chance to look at it, I'm afraid that doesn't sound good. Keep me and my kids in your thoughts, please everyone!

I'm SO glad you didn't give up on this idea. Not only are many kids already genuinely interested in knitting, but there is so much for them to gain by your introducing it. Though I have no research to back this up, I would imagine that learning about knitting as a process teaches problem-solving and long-term project planning, no?
Oh my Word! Did this ever come out cute! You will have to tell me how to lay my hands on the pattern as I would like to make this one for my neice Last I saw it you were still working on the body - It came out beautifully. I still am amazed at how quickly you knit things up and it makes me year for more time to do the saem! Happy knitting - cannot wait to see how your hourglass sweater turns out!
